The sweeping reforms, effective immediately, encompass key positions crucial to the sector’s growth and development.

Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA):

Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, the former Director-General of the NCAA, has been suspended to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conduct an unrestricted investigation. Capt. Chris Najomo assumes office as the Acting Director-General immediately.

President Tinubu has also given the green light for the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development to initiate a meticulous process for the recruitment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers for the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU).

The President envisions that the newly appointed leadership will prioritize the safety, convenience, and comfort of the Nigerian people in all administrative activities. With a focus on mitigating the high cost of underperformance in the sector, President Tinubu demands the prompt establishment of world-class policy design, implementation, and regulatory frameworks to realign the sector with his Renewed Hope Agenda.

All directives outlined by President Tinubu are effective immediately.
